Zack Nyein, first chaplain of the dynamic Project Canterbury Christian campus ministry in Chattanooga, will be heading off soon to Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. We thank him for his service to the young adult community and send best wishes and prayers along with him on his journey.
About Noel:
Originally from the Midwest, Noel grew up on a farm in South Dakota and attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She then went on to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Noel is an Associate in Ministry – a title given to lay ministry professionals – in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She comes to us with a wealth of experience in ministry with young people, having served for seven years in various Lutheran (ELCA) congregations in addition to staffing a number of regional and denominational youth events. Most recently, she served as Director of Youth and Family Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church in Farragut.
In her spare time, Noel enjoys anything active and outdoors, training for triathlons, swimming, biking and running. She also enjoys gourmet coffee and drinking lattes. She is married to Rob who has his own software development company in Chattanooga.
Noel is thankful for all the people throughout the diocese who have already reached out to her and looks forward to getting to know everyone better as she begins her ministry with Project Canterbury!
