Travel Day

The Rev. Maggie Zeller July 03, 2012

Most of our deputation arrived in Indianapolis with little or no problems.  Erik Broeren had the flight experience from hell and was still awaiting his luggage when the rest of us were going to bed.  Chris Harpster and I had a delightful drive and virtually no traffic even after the sun came up.  Betsy, I did not go over the speed limit once and we were here in 7 hours, making one stop for breakfast and two pit stops.

My afternoon was spent in organizational meetings.  I think I know what my job as a Dispatch liaison is now - keep the committee moving, make sure no legislation gets left behind and shuffle papers.  So I will have to put on my cloak of organization and pull out those skills that the Myere-Briggs test says I have. ;-)

Most of us ended the day at a great restaurant together for dinner.  Great company and very good food were a perfect combo for that last gathering of the day.  And now to bed!
