Loading...The newly formed Contemplative Outreach of East Tennessee will meet from 10 am to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 30, at St. Andrew’s Church, 314 W. Broadway, Maryville, TN 37803, to plan events for the coming months.
Especially invited are leaders of Centering Prayer groups from throughout East Tennessee. The decision to form a local chapter of Contemplative Outreach was the result of a meeting in March, attended by over 30 persons coming from as far away as Chattanooga and Johnson City and representing various faiths and spiritual practices. An effort to establish a detailed listing of prayer groups throughout the area is under way. Thus far, over 16 groups have been identified.
Lunch will be served. There is no charge for the meeting or the lunch, although a donation to defray the cost of the luncheon would be accepted.

To allow preparation of adequate food, RSVPs are encouraged but not required.
